Are PCR tests also evaluated on the weekend?
Weekend PCR testing is of great importance for business trips, for those who have not yet been vaccinated and have completed two doses of vaccine. The rule is that anyone who has not had a negative PCR test result in the last 72 hours cannot travel between cities or abroad.
As published by the Ministry of Interior of Turkey on September 6, 2021 and sent the circular to 81 provinces, those who are not vaccinated or who have completed two doses of vaccine will be subjected to a PCR test. During the week you can submit a PCR test to your family doctor or a private clinic. But is this also possible on weekends?
Are PCR tests carried out at the family doctor's and at a private clinic on weekends?
PCR centers authorized by the Department of Health conduct PCR tests on weekends outside of working hours. Typically, PCR test results can be obtained on weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on the same day and after 7:00 p.m. the next day. On weekends or holidays, PCR test results can be completed on the same day from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
How much does a PCR test cost?
For those who need a PCR test for domestic or international travel, public hospitals can get a free PCR test twice a week. In a private clinic, PCR test results can also be obtained on weekends against payment of a test fee of 250 TL.
